Florida Keys Spiny Lobster, also known as Caribbean Lobster, is a crustacean related to crabs, shrimp and crayfish. Spiny lobster as named because of the numerous spines on their bodies. Unlike the Maine lobster that have claws, Spiny Lobster house their meat in the tails. Florida Spiny lobster are typically caught in 6-300 feet of water and are harvested off the Florida coast and the Florida Keys.
